Gyro Nation.
Shame on all of you. Not a drop of rain for tonight's ride until the last couple of miles, and even then it was just a drizzle. It was a pleasant evening to ride with cool weather and clean air. We had 3 riders so the points were in effect. There was Lou, Keil, and myself. And, it was a great ride. We worked together and rode hard. Keil attempted some light-hearted attacks, but he really did not give it his all and kept us together. There are sprint points at the end of Burton, but Keil took the pull for the entire stretch and when he came out of the saddle for the final "sprint" it was plenty hard enough and he deserved the points. When we hit the Doc I attempted a weak "attack" up the first rise, but it was easily answered by the boys, and I think that Keil could have kicked up even more. But, Keil and Lou were gentlemen and we rode together with Lou doing most of the work. Once again, Lou rode plenty hard enough and took the points. When we went up the final stretch on Hickory Grove I began the pull but the boys went by, and I attempted to stay on but Keil finished first for the ride. Our final pace was 21.2 for the 31 miles. We were all pleased. The points: Logan..............20 Lou................11 Dave................9 Keil................8 Steve...............8 Rick................6 Chris...............3 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you foolishly subscribed to the Gyro email group.
