This evening I will lead a ride leaving the Durham Tech College on Snow Hill Road in Durham, leaving at 6:30. This will be a hour an 15 minutes with a 30 minute run following. The pace will be determined by riding steady at around 180 watts, climbing at 250 watts max. The wind, terrain, etc will determine the speed. The speed usually comes out to be around 18 given the course of rolling hills, some long climbs, etc. I am on my tri bike training for a race in late September, so I will be in the aerobars. All are welcome to join and learn more about riding to a power goal, whether for triathlons, or road rides. I have noticed several power meters showing up on the rides recently. They are a great tool to use to improve your performance and pacing. I've been using one since 2004, with over 16,000 miles riden with it and will gladly share what I've learned. Ride will leave at 6:30 sharp. You can let me know off-list if you are interested. Dave
