It was Tim, Tom, Randy, Me, Chris, Bert, Ivan, Hal, Ty and a New Guy on a scott addict whose name I didnt catch. Ty is also a new guy who recently celebrated his 1 year in Raleigh (moved from Texas) and has recently started riding again after a lay-off.
The ride was smooth for the most part after a rocky start where half the group hit the light at Leesville. There were some surges early on in the pace lines that eventually evened out. We lost Hal and Randy somewhere around Burton. Hal made it back to the parking lot before us and he'll have to teach us that trick some time. I think he called someone. I know he wouldnt take a short cut. I assume Randy rode home. Unfortunately Chris flatted on Patterson on the way back and told us to go on. The primes were basically uncontested. I pulled ahead a little on Burton to take it and on the Doc Tom rode across first. I believe we lost Ty and Ivan on the Doc. That left 5 for the run in with Tim, Tom, Bert, Me and New Guy. It went down to three with me, Tim and Tom on Hickory Grove crossing the finish in that order. Bert and New Guy were close behind. Average for the ride was 22.5. The ride seemed particularly hard for me due to the heat. I think the index was right around 98 when we started. All in all a good ride. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you foolishly subscribed to the Gyro email group.
