Gyros,
Well, we close another chapter on the Thursday Trek Store ride tomorrow night.
I plan to lead the ride tomorrow night but it'll be a short ride since it's
getting dark. So, tomorrow will be the last Thursday Trek ride for the season,
so sad.
I think overall, we had the most successful summer in terms of participation,
improvement and best of all lots of good new friends. In the past 3 years since
I've been dabbling in leading this ride, this has been the most fun for me. I
think its mostly in part because of the loyal group that showed up every week,
even though I was MIA on occasion. However, I always managed to find a good
excuse, right Hal?
Thanks again to each the regulars and irregulars that showed up every week.
Thanks also to Steve and Hal for stepping up and filling in when Carol and I
were not there. I think there was significant improvement all around on our
group riding skills since we first started riding together in early summer. I'm
looking forward to leading the ride again next summer. For now, I shift gears
and hang up the road wheels and replace them with boards and the occasional
night riding in the woods.
See ya next summer. Think cold and snow.
