G's, For those of you who don't already know, I was out riding late this afternoon on Baptist Road and, to my surprise, found that they have finally paved Southview Road from Baptist to Hwy 98. It makes a great cross over now and it stretches about 1.2 miles long. The only potential hazard I seen was a pit bull, (looked like one), at one of the few houses on that road but luckly he was chained to a tree.
The only traffic that I see taking this road are the motorists traveling west on Hwy 98 to Durham and live on Baptist and will use this as a shortcut. Otherwise, it is smooth sailing and only about 4-5 houses total. I would like to now incorporate Southview into our Tuesday night ride from Kemp to Baptist crossing over Hwy98. It's about 2.4 miles long one way. Thought I tell everyone since we have been waiting so long for this stretch of road to get paved.
