I was one of the five today - Sam Quattrocchi. I was the one that had to
quit near New Light because the pace was to fast. (I need to start doing
hill work in order to improve my power and speed.)

But I want to thank the team for slowing the pace and letting me ride with
you for as long as I could. It was great training for me at least for about
20 miles. I finished with an average of 17.7 MPH which for the Around the
Lake Route is good for me. I generally do that route in about 16 to 16.5
MPH.

Thanks again!

Subject: [Gyros: 14604] Randy's ride...

I wanted to thank Randy for organizing today's ride. It was a great day for
riding and there were 5 of us enjoying the fresh air and good exercise.

I was hoping that everyone on the ride might respond and introduce yourself.
There were 2 riders who's names I was not certain of. (I think that one of
the things that we need to do before each group ride is introduce
ourselves!)

We hit an 18 average for 37 miles which was just as Randy advertised. And,
it was a very comfortable 18! No hammering; just some nice steady pacing.

I was wondering how many others have this week off, and might be interested
in some weekday rides. I would like to get out late morning, or early
afternoon. If interested please let me know.

Rick
