All,
I am looking to do about a 38ish mile ride around the lake tomorrow starting at noon from St Francis. This is a "recovery/easy" ride the average pace will be about 17. Typically the pace for the first half is higher than the second because of the hills but the average for the ride will still be about 17. At noon tomorrow the temperature is expected to be about 40 degrees with a wind chill in the mid 30s. The winds are not expected to be as much a factor tomorrow as they were today so it may be a good day for cycling. The route I am planning is Start at St Francis Right onto Leesville (becomes Hickory Grove) Left on Carpenter Pond Right on Leesville Right on Doc Nichols Left on Olive Branch Left on 98 Right on Patterson Right on Cheek (becomes Old Weaver) Right on New Light Cross 98 onto Six Forks Right on Pleasant Union Right on Norwood Right on Leesville (end at St Francis) Depending who shows up, we can continue on Six Forks for an extra hill and make our way back to St Francis by taking Lead Mine (R) to Baileywick (R) to Strickland (R) to Ray (R) to Norwood (L).
