What a great day to go for a bike ride. The weather could not have been better for a nice long bike ride. Ulrich Kreidler , his son David , Ken Block , Wendy and myself had a wonderful day in the sun. Wendy and I rode to PUE and met Ken , Ulrich and David about a mile from the parking lot. We rode , talked and sprinted for the next 65+ miles. Wendy and I ended with right at 80 miles and Ken ended with about the same. Ulrich and David rode a season high mileage. I think it was around 68 miles. Ken took most of the sprints but Ulrich did manage to beat Ken on one of the County line sprints. WAY TO GO ULRICH. We saw Lisa , Donna , Diana and their group and also saw Joel Weinberger with the All-Stars/Simple Green group. Looked like he was having fun. Mike Wallace and the Road Dogs had a nice lively looking group. If it wasn't the Road Dogs -- it was still a nice looking group anyway. By the way - when Mike Passed me going the other way -- I had just got back on my bike after stopping to check out a cut on my rear tire. The cut was not fatal. There were others that we saw and everybody had smiles on their faces. Really enjoy riding Range Rd. and all the area around there. Nobody had mechanicals and all arrived back at PUE safely. We did have 1 close encounter with a dark blue full size pick-up with a red-neck at the controls but at least he kept going once he passed (too close). Looking forward to another 50-60 tomorrow.
