Hello all!
Warm weather is here which means cycling season is upon us.  I know you are all excited to get back out there (at least those of you who aren't crazy and haven't been riding all winter!).  We are going to have our first official ride on Saturday, April 17th at 9:00am.  The 8:00am starts will begin 1st week in June.
Martin is going to be organizing our schedule of SAG drivers again this year (thank you, Martin).  He'll be sending out an email soliciting your aid soon.  However, since I know some of you are eager and will email me asking for his email address so you can contact him, here it is: [email protected]  There are 21 Saturdays in the Cyclepath season.  Last year, we averaged about 45 riders per week.  That means, at a minimum, 45 of you have benefited from someone else driving SAG.  Therefore, I would strongly encourage you to volunteer if you haven't driven before.  It is very easy.  It just means you give up ONE ride all summer.  Please do you your part.
Jenny asked me to mention that the MS Chapter is having a contest today to see what team can get the most members to register for the Bike MS event in New Bern this fall.  Instead of giving you the details, I'm specifically asking you NOT to register if you haven't already.  The Chapter has several of these contests.  I'd like to wait until all of our members have "cycling" more on the brain and focus on one of these contests so that we can win whatever prize is offered to the winning team.
Yes, I know the website is out-of-date, except for the ticker.  The host service changed the editing software last year and it prevents us from editing unless we completely rebuild the site.  I'm changing our hosting service and I have a meeting scheduled for next Wednesday with someone who is going to help us create a new site.  Hopefully, it will be in place by April 17th.

Thanks,
Gaines
