I was still living in the SF Bay Area last year & was up Tunitas Creek road, 
about 2 miles from the summit, in the rain w/ a few thousand others. That was 
the first big climb of day 3. They all went by in a rush of color & spray from 
the wheels. Blown away by the spectacle, and more by the support of the local 
cycling community.
