Leslie,
The ride yesterday was great. This is why I started cycling, because I wanted
to get some excercise (I hate running and my knees) and meet new people. I
enjoy being able to talk to people along the route and learn about them. This
ride is great for that. I am still pretty young (33) and I could keep up with
some faster riders if I wanted too, but this is not for me. I just enjoy
riding. I have ridden long enough to know that there are a few cyclists who
have too much testosterone and egos that like to make cycling miserable for
some. I really enjoy your ride and thanks for starting it back. I look forward
to this weekly ride and would encourage any one who enjoys cycling and people
to try this ride!
Thanks,
Shane Bowers

Thanks everyone for coming out for the B ride today. We did have 20
riders! Amazing! It was great to see some new faces too, hope to see
you all again. We stayed together for about 35 of the 42 mile ride -
good job everyone! What you saw yesterday regarding pace, route
distance, controlled riding is what you can expect on the B rides. We
will continue to stay together for the majority of the ride. My
average was just under 16 but I know most of you who finished before
me were about 16.5. This is where we will stay - we will not be
pushing it to get faster and faster. If you would like a faster ride,
please go out with the A or A- groups. Thank you! See you next week.

Leslie
