How about the Tar River Ramble (http://raleighgyros.com/pdf/tar-river-ramble.pdf - except for the first rest stop) or a modified version that gets rid of the Walters Rd/Hester loop?

A Memorial Morning ride is a Gyro tradition. It just takes someone to organize the ride, and there are usually a dozen or so interested parties.

The only thing to sort out is the pace and distance so that others who do not care to ride at that pace can provide details more appropriate to their riding style.

I can begin the bike rolling by suggesting that we set a 9am starting time at PU and go about 45-50 miles at 18-19.

But, I do not wish to be the ride leader.
