While it has been a while since I have had the opportunity to ride
with the Gyros I will be looking forward to getting back on the bike.
My wife and I keep up with all that has been going on and we both
agree that the Gyros were a great addition to my life and I look
forward to returning. The posts about Hal and his accident have only
reinforced that fact. You guys and gals are all fantastic individuals
and I truly appreciate every opportunity I have gotten to ride with
you.

Unfortunately I was struck with some neurological difficulty about 7
weeks ago and we have been struggling through the attempted recovery.
A bulging and then ultimately severely herniated disc in my cervical
vertebrae has left me with limited use of my right arm and severe
pain, but by the grace of the lord and quality medecine it looks like
a cervical discectomy and fusion will likely put me back on the bike
in 6-9 months or so. Being a big guy already I hope that I don't
balloon too much so that I can be back to barely being able to keep up
with all the great riders in the group.

May you all have a great summer and I look forward to enjoying the
Raleigh/Durham roads with you again some time.

P.S.

Sorry I missed the meeting with our Government Rep. and I know you
represented us and all other cyclists well.

God Bless,

Rich
