It was great to see 2 Gyros jerseys racing during the Raleigh Centennial Campus Criterium today!
Please come out and join us. There are 3 more of these races through the summer: http://www.bergerhardwarebikes.com/centennialseries/index.htm Any A group rider can handle the Cat 5 pace (or C race for this event). Since I am one of the slowest A group riders, you are guaranteed not to place last. The Gyros Cycling Club is now a drop down option if you register for a USA Cycling License (http://www.usacycling.org/), or you can get a one-day license at the event (http://www.bergerhardwarebikes.com/centennialseries/newbie.html). The goal of a new racer does not have to be to win the race. Most runners who enter the NY City Marathon do not expect to win. The goal for most should be to have fun, improve your cycling skills, increase your physical fitness, and become more connected to the cycling community, which will make the sport you love even more enjoyable. For example, after my 2 sons watched the Wake Forest Crit with Kurt Massey doing a terrific job announcing the event, they now go to races hoping to cheer on their favorite teenage riders. I look forward to seeing you at the next race! http://www.usacycling.org/events/index.php?state=NC <http://www.usacycling.org/events/index.php?state=NC&race=Road&fyear=2010&rr filter=all> &race=Road&fyear=2010&rrfilter=all Jared -- You received this message because you subscribed to the Gyro email group.
