Place: St. Francis of Assisi
Date: Tuesday, June 15
Time: 5:45pm
Course: See below
Distance: 32miles
Pace: 22-23

Let's try this again. We will make a slight change in our finishing stretch.

The course is the same until we make the left turn onto 98 from Patterson on
the run home.
I will pick up the course at that point:

...Patterson to 98 (L)
98 to Kemp (R)
Kemp to Coley (R)
Coley to Carpentar Pd (L)
Carpenter Pd to Hickory Grove (R)
Hickory Grove to Circle K (Kicks parking lot)

So, we have 2 changes for everyone to be aware of. First, we skip Olive Branch
and head directly to Kemp. Second, we race all the way up Hickory Grove until
we
hit the driveway to Kicks (this gives enough distance to the light if we do
have
a duel).

The Kemp/Coley finish always makes for some interesting riding. It is perfect
for our power guys. And, strategy changes in the final miles with the race up
Hickory Grove. Those who may have fallen off on the climb up Kemp could still
scratch their way back up Coley, and, if they have not closed the gap there is
still time to latch back because of the added stretch up Hickory Grove. It has
happened in past years, as 4 or 5 dropped riders re-organized into an effective
chase group and caught the break. Bert was the driving force...

The first rider in wins the "Rider of the Night" award. Your name will be
carved into the Rick's Ride trophy, and you get to keep this at your home
between rides. Like the Stanley Cup. Now, if we can get Tony to approve the
funds for purchasing this trophy!!
