The ride has been rescheduled to October 2nd This will be a nice training ride for those of us doing the B2B IM.
Hello all, Thank you all for your interest in the ride from our store here in Raleigh to our Store in Wilmington. Below are a list of details most of you have had questions or concerns about. None of these are set in stone just yet. Everything will be finalized by mid August. With that being said: -Date: Saturday Oct 2nd 2010 First weekend of Oct We chose this weekend for a few reasons: Heat, more in line with Beach to Battleship and other Ironman training. -There will be 2 fully supported stops. Sponsored by Hammer Nutrition Mile 50, 100 then your at our other store -There will be a sag wagon with a mechanic trailing behind everyone -The pace will be as fast as you want and/or as slow as you want. The aid stations will be waiting for you and will stay there till the last person leaves. -Final destination will be sponsored by local restaurants and other vendors. Our Wilmington store is hosting a 5k (Run for the Ta-Tas) that morning at 8am so if you have family or friends that may want to do that and meet you there, that could be an option. -We are working on getting a bus for whom ever would like a ride back the evening of the ride. We will only provide transportation back that Saturday evening, if you chose to stay the night getting yourself and your bike back will be your responsibility. - For those of you that take the bus back we will get your bikes back to our Raleigh store. -We are working with a few local hotels for discounts on that weekend. -Cost is still to be determined. Were working on packages including ride, hotel, transportation back or just the ride only. We are trying to keep this as low cost as possible by getting vendor support. -In closing Let me know if your interested in the bus ride back and the hotel, so I can gather numbers and let everyone know what the cost will be. Feel free to shoot me questions, comments, concerns.
