I did a hilly 50 mile race near Asheboro over the weekend sporting my Gyros jersey. (There should be a good picture of me whenever those are posted.) I'm still recovering from some knee issues and with it being a hilly course I wasn't sure what to expect. The leaders got away from me at about the halfway point and there was nothing I could do but I did pipe a guy at the line to finish 4th overall with a 19.5 average on a tough course. I was happy with that. Unfortunately a friend had crashed early so I did not stay around afterward because I wanted to go to the hospital to check on him. And by not staying around I missed out on the awards ceremony. They announced me as the overall Female Winner. For those of you that don't know me I am a Male, I just look like a female on paper. I wonder if Kim ever goes through this? And I have no idea what I actually won since I left. I just found out this morning.
