No matter the reason the two people that showed up for the ride at Blue Jay are
the ones that got bit by this "misunderstanding"

Absolute nonsense.

Not one of the points that were made had any validity. It was stated that the
ride was not posted until late. The course that we will be riding on our
Saturday group rides is posted on the Thursday before that ride; always has
been, always will be. Your ride was posted on Thursday.

It also stated that it is no good to post a ride "that no one knows the route".
The ride route was attached to the post (Whitt Dove Loop), with the starting
location, time, speed, comments, etc. It was very well done. I hope that they
continue doing this.

And, it is perfectly acceptable for the ride leader to post a ride and not
lead.
Things come up. Tony is out of town, but the A ride goes on. Ed was out, but
the
A- ride went on.

All that was needed was for someone to come forward and offer to lead the ride
as posted. It is not desireable, but it can happen. (I am not sure why those
who
switched the course to Wake Forest just didn't do this.) Each rider prints out
the route...I think that you are all clever enough to find your way around.

With that I go back into hibernation.
