I have ridden the white lake course and the full course for IMB b2b down there and it is flat, however can be windy My coach rode from Cary to Wilmington and it was 134 miles. Nonetheless, I am doing 110 the week before and doubt I'll sign up for the 150 especially since I will be riding slower than my heavy hammering gyro friends :)

The most direct route is 421 which is perfectly safe until you get down into wilmington (and a brief 4 lane section near Clinton that SHOULD be navigated around). Me and a buddy just did 421 from Dunn (we were on this road for 70 miles) and got off on 210 then 133 into Wilmington. 133 is sketchy. From Dunn to Carolina Beach ended up being 112 miles and that starting point is quite a ways below the TrySports shop. Anywho... however you do it you should remember that it is dead flat. Those extra miles wont even be noticeable (especially in a group) in comparison to centuries up around here. - Logan On Aug 23, 12:28 pm, [email protected] wrote: > Am I the only one who thinks that is overkill? > I mean the extra 50- > Mary > Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: DonnaWebster <[email protected]> > > Sender: [email protected] > Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2010 06:24:58 > To: North Raleigh Cyclists (Gyros)<[email protected]> > Reply-To: [email protected] > Subject: [Gyros: 16345] 150 miler from Raleigh to Wilmington, Saturday October 2nd > > 150 Mile TrySports Group Ride! > > Start: TrySports Raleigh > Finish:TrySports Wilmington > > Your response has been great for our ride and we have finalized the > date for October 2nd.
