Morning Y'all:
For those who are looking for a nice ride to celibrate Labor Day.
I would suggest riding with David. We've done this "redux" in the past
and it has always been an enjoyable ride.

I'll be leading a "Raven Rock Ramble Redux" ride on Labor Day, which is
Monday, September 6. We'll start from Harris Lake County Park at 8:30
(the park open at 8:00) and ride the century route. My plan is to keep
a steady pace, throttle back slightly on the hills, and average maybe 19
mph or so. We'll have three store stops. Maps and cue sheets are on
the Routes page at http://ravenrockramble.org/routes.htm .
This is just a pick-up ride - no registration and no fees. Rain at the
start will cancel the ride. As the director I don't get to ride the day
of the event, so I hope some of you will join me. I've posted details
on the NCBC ride calendar at http://ncbikeclub.org/calendar/ncbc0810.htm
Cheers,
David
p.s. About next year... my public statement is that 2011 will be my
final Raven Rock Ramble. It will be the 10th riding, and we will have
raised over $100,000 for kidney health and awareness. That said, I also
reserve the right to change my mind, and two groups have already
expressed interest in taking over the event, so I'm sure it will
continue in some manner or form.
