creating, downloading all of the rides available on our website. The cue sheets
and the entire production is awesome, so join me in thanking them for another
great year.

G-Men & Women,

Wow, things are really changing rapidly now that available light is hard to
come by. Please note the changes to some of the rides below. Sad that another
riding season is coming to an end.

NOTABLE RIDE CHANGES:
1. Kim's Ride Sunday Recovery Ride nows starts @ 9am
2. Andy's Wednesday Night Ride is CANCELLED FOR THE SEASON
3. Dave's Thursday Night Ride is CANCELLED FOR THE SEASON
4. Tony's Thursday Esay Rider Ride has been moved to Wednesday nights and will
only take place IF POSTED

Saturday is the traditional Road Dog Rally (Start @ 8:30am from PUE). Our A/A-
& B rides will also be joining in albeit with some minor changes. For the A/A-
Group, you can join in with the fast guys or you can do a more leisurely ride.
I think that Tom Sheffield said that he would be leaving after the main group
sets off. Anyone is welcome to join as long as you can ride the minimum pace
which I believe Tom posted @ 18-19mph. There will be NO WAITING for dropped
riders. You're on your own so bring a cue sheet.

For the B Group, Leslie has done a slightly shorter route which I have also
attached to this email. It follows most of the the Rally route but cuts it
short. Distance is 45 miles. On this ride, you MUST also be able to ride the
minimum pace (16mph).

THE PLAN:
One or more groups will leave with the intent of riding as a group at a target
pace. We will try to cover the same routes, albeit a shorter distance for the
slower group, so if you're struggling or want to ride at an easier pace, you
can move back to a slower group. If you're already in the slowest group, the
ride leader will check to make sure you can make your way back alone or with
another volunteer. You'll know within the first 7 miles whether or not you're
strong enough to maintain the pace. The general rule is that you should be able
to maintain at least a 19+mph pace for the A Group, 18mph pace for 40-50 miles
with the B+ Group or a 16mph pace for 30-40 miles with the B Group, when
considering which group to ride with. If you can not maintain these paces, then
it is suggested that you consider the C/B- Sunday ride. (Please refer to the
link above).

Each group should make a concerted effort to keep the group together but there
will always be those who want to pick up the pace on the return. It is more
appropriate to do this the last 5-7 miles of a ride. The short hammer sessions,
that are always inevitable during our rides, will not be affected.

Thanks, Tony
