This Tuesday will be the last Rick's Ride for the season, but, it will not be the last Tuesday ride! There will be times during the fall/winter season where Tony and Bert will hold a night time ride so please purchase some lights at the Trek store for your bike and join us!
There is also one more change. Because of the fear of darkness we will cut the course short by turning onto Burton instead of heading up Geer to Junction. This should cut out about 2 1/2 miles, or about 6 minutes. That 6 minutes will make all the difference in keeping this ride safe. Here are the final specs: TIME: 5:45pm DATE: Tuesday, September 28, 2010 PLACE: Shady Grove Church parking lot COURSE: As per usual with the revision listed above (email me for the course descripion, if needed) DISTANCE: 25 miles (BERT: Please confirm this...) PACE: 21-23 I want to take my hat off (or, should that be my helmet) to our top riders who consistently attended this Tuesday ride and showed the other clubs in town that we do have a high skill level in the Gyros. (There appears to be an act of attrition here since the numbers have dwindled down to a very select 6 - 8 riders. I believe that we have at least 15 riders capable of maintaining the 22+ pace that they held last week. We should at least have that many who want to try!!
