* <http://cyclesdeoro.com/Lost_Cyclist.htm>David Herlihy, *noted historian
and author of the *“Bicycle: The History,”* (2004)
has written an engrossing new book entitled *"The Lost Cyclist"*.

It is the true story of a young man from Pittsburgh PA who embarks on and
nearly completes a brave around-the-world bicycle ride, only
to disappear in tumultuous Turkey. The story involves his trip, his
 mysterious dissapearance and the efforts by other cyclists to find him.
Great reading!

The author will be in Greensboro *Monday night, Oct 18th *at 7:30 PM, at
cycles de ORO Bike shop to deliver an illustrated talk about his new book,
answer questions and sign copies. This event is free to all, everyone is
invited and will include light refreshments.
