I agree! Instead of the Gyro's wasting energy bickering over who's at fault, etc, why don't we channel the energy in to doing something positive and constructive??? Why not take action in a way that's going to help make a difference in the future; to cut down on further accidents. One example would be to initiate a plan to get more "Share The Road" signs along the roads we cycle (ie, NC Bike Route #1, etc). Or initiate a plan and take action to petition our elected officials to make a new law to give cyclists 3 foot of space as other states have done? Is something like this in the plans for the Gyro's in 2011? If yes, great! I will be the very happy to re-up and donate. If not; then, why not??? Surely the Gyro's can get the support on this from the all bike dealors in the area... I doubt if any biker; roadie, or triathlete, etc would have a problem of donating some extra bucks towards more "Share The Road" signs; and the bike dealors, knowing who butter's thier bread should be willing to help as well...
In fact, in honor of all the Gyro's and other good cyclist's who have fell victim to car and truck drivers causing bike accidents; I will donate the first $100 dollars to a fund to put up more "Share the Road" signs in Wake, Durham, and Granville counties.
