FYI - From Tom

Road Dogs,
We'll be celebrating the New Year by riding the traditional New Year's
Day Metric route, leaving from Pleasant Union Elementary at 10am.
Allen (Budman) Walker has volunteered to lead this year's ride. I seem
to recall that the lead pack didn't stop in Wilton last year. If
you're planning to stay with that group, you should probably bring an
extra bottle, as well as a tow-rope.

For some, this route may be a bit of a challenge, especially at this
time of year. Over the years I've explored the following
alternatives:>)
- Once (or maybe twice) upon a time I came straight back on BR1 after
the break in Wilton
- One year I rode the Creedmoor Loop with about 6 others
- Another year I show a couple of people the top secret Beaver Dam
Road shortcut
- One time I rode to PUE and handed out cue sheets, then rode home
- And finally there was the year I drove out to PUE, handed out cue
sheets and drove home.

If you care to join me this year, you'll have to be able to keep a
16mph pace, on whatever shortcut I choose.

What: New Year's Day Metric
Where: Pleasant Union Elementary
When: 1/1/2011 @10am
How: Break (maybe) about halfway in Wilton; Cue sheets are available
here:http://ncbikeclub.org/queue_sheets/new_years_day_metric_pue.htm

I hope you all are having a great Holiday season,
-Tom
