Yes, I knew Ian only peripherally.  A really great guy.
A great loss.
Unfortunately these aortic aneurysms that dissect in anyone, as we know can
happen quickly and not be caught in time.  He will be missed by many.

Very sad news in the local endurance community.  Although I only knew
Ian from the pool and at races, I knew him well enough to know he was
an exceptional athlete and an even better person.  My deepest
sympathies are with Melissa and Ian's father.   May he rest in peace.
