First, I want to thank Keil for joining me on the ride out of the Trek store.
Second, I want to apologize to Keil for joining me on the ride out of the Trek store! For the most part the ride was just fine, with icy patches along the way, but there was always sections of dry road to navigate. Until we turned onto Mt. Vernon from Carpenter Pd., that is. That intersection was nothing but ice, and there was no where to go. I was able to stop and dismount, but Keil had to hang in there for a bit until he could dismount. He balanced just fine until he too dismounted. We walked our bikes along the grass, got back on, then walked them again near Six Forks. After that all was well. So, here is the warning: AVOID THE SECTION OF MT.VERNON BETWEEN CARPENTER PD. AND SIX FORKS. Rick -- You received this message because you subscribed to the Gyro email group.
