G's,
Ok, we are now current with the new group. You all should have received a confirmation stating that you have been ADDED to the group. You don't need to do anything except login to your googlegroup account to CHANGE your email preference if you wish to do so. This means that everyone was added as receiving ALL emails as they are sent. You can change that. It was just easier for us to do it this way. Now, the people who weren't added yet are the ones that we just received membership forms for within the last week. Don't worry, you will be added and you'll receive a confirmation too. Another point I need to mention. Please direct your membership questions to [email protected] too. You can copy him so he knows what is going on. I noticed everyone are directing their questions to me only. Eric is the Membership Director and he too needs to know what is going on. One more thing. Since we are transitioning over to the new group, you will likely be seeing more than 1 message coming through. Some of you may even see 3 messages if you are on the race team. I apologize for this. Please bear with us. Once February 1st rolls around, these duplicate messages will cease. (I also used the new group address as a test so if you did not receive this email through gyroscyclingclub, please let me know). RULES FOR USING THE NEW GOOGLEGROUP - I don't want to keep having to remind people on how to use this new group. PLEASE and I do say PLEASE, only post when you have something to say regarding the group/cycling such as rides, events, meetings, showing up for a ride, selling cycling stuff, etc. Anything is allowed as long as it is USEFUL information. DO NOT post TO THE WHOLE GROUP like, "That was awesome" or "I like that" or "Wow, it's finally warming up outside". I think you get my drift. AND, be considerate to your fellow members. If you need an answer to a question, POST DIRECTLY to the person you are asking NOT TO THE WHOLE GROUP - unless you feel that the question is important enough that the whole group needs to know that answer to. With this new group we have cut down the membership from 645 down to 114. The useless banter should be zero from here on. Again, thanks for your support and be sure to utilize your officers should any questions or problems arise. Stay safe!
