There will be a rest stop at a convenience store where Cedar Creek Road merges into Tarboro road at about 22.4 miles. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=463767 Stony Hill road starts on the north side of highway #98, 3.3 miles of the intersection of 98 and Falls of the Neuse road, 2.5 miles east of the intersection of Six Forks Road and 98, or 4.2 miles east of the interesection of Creedmoor Road and 98. The Fire station is just on the left as one turns onto Stony Hill. Park in the old station lot which is the first entrance on the left. For those familiar with getting to Blue Jay Point: just continue north on Six Forks past the Pleasant Union right turn into Blue Jay Point. After 1.5 miles one comes to the intersection of Six Forks and #98. Turn right on #98 and go 2.5 miles, then turn left on Stony Hill and you will be there. There are no public restrooms at the old fire station; however there is a convenience store on the south side of #98 just as you turn north on Stony Hill. Please let me know if you need any other information to post the change in departing location. Or is you want, I can post the change. thanks, Dana -- Dana D.
