I'm glad to hear it was such a wonderful ride. If their ride comes around
in November, I'll sign up.

County Ride

what a wonderful top notch event yesterday ... other 'good cause' rides,
i've been on, do not come close to what susan and olie (gyro members) give
us.

air conditioned rest stops loaded with food and drinks kept us going in the
heat. TLC for bikes (gary smith) and Bicycle Chain (Hwy 70) gave their time
to support us on these beautiful routes. usually when an event posts food
provided at the end of the ride, only the first riders back get the food ...
and they eat all/most of it, so us 'slower' folks miss out. yesterday, when
we pulled in the tables were full of yummy foods and drinks, ice cold wash
clothes, floor fans and even raffle prizes. quicker recovery led to
enjoyable conversations.

i hear susan and olie are planning a third 'good cause' ride in november. it
seems like a triple win ... (1) great ride/route/event (2) support the
community we love to ride in (3) support our club members putting out the
time/effort.

hope to see you out there ... maria
