I certainly did not mean to start anything...just thought it would be a
thought provoking article.

I have lived in a lot of places the last 15 years and here in the Raleigh
area we are really lucky to have the riding opportunities and clubs that are
here. They don't happen by themselves. It takes a lot of hard work and
dedication to make these rides go off smoothly. My hat is off to all those
involved!

I do think that the article brings to light some important thoughts, namely
that it is on the riders with expierence to help those whose skills need
some refinement. Riding in a group is not about who is strongest or
fastest, rather it is about the group dynamic and being able to contribute
to the betterment of the group.

Riding a bike is easy....right up until you figure out that you don't really
have a clue :)

As a member of the Gyros and a triathlete, I recognize the source of the
comment. Some just don't understand(ignorance) and don't accept(arrogance)
that we can have different likes while having much in common. Perhaps they
can't swim or got dropped by some fast chick on a TT bike and have never
gotten over it. Either way, it's America and we're all free to our opinions.
But hey, in case this bothers anyone, just kidding!
