Has anyone marketed the list elsewhere? I posted a message on Fashion
Historians Unite, one of the more substantive Facebook groups. I just
linked to the h-costume page where it gives details of what the list is
about and how to join, with a couple of sentences of intro.
I think the moderators for h-costume have been good, in that they have
all had a sense of responsibility and ran the group for general benefit
rather than who they personally liked or disliked. I want to continue
that tradition. Also, the first moderator (Diane? Diana?) was very
concerned about keeping it a multi-era group, not having discussions
taken over by people with only one era of interest. I mean, some people
have only one era of interest, which is fine, but she wanted a variety
of members for a variety of discussions. I agree with that, because if
you only want to discuss one specific era there are many other places to
do that.
