Possibly -- although this is only a problem for me for things that end
at the waistband. A garment that hangs from the shoulders, even if
belted, evens out by the time it gets to the hem, what with bust and
butt sort of counter-balancing.
Are you thinking of everyday wear, or something more frivolous? Because
a slight train (a few inches) makes a graceful line without getting in
the way very much. But one wouldn't do that for an average garment, I
think.
I'll have to take your word for it, since in the case of my skirts, my bust
and butt don't counterbalance anything :)
At this point I'm trying to figure out where I saw the pictures I'm thinking
of and drawing a blank. Sorry, my bad - I withdraw the thought until I can
find the darned things.
