It's hard to tell from the photos, but his stuff looks reasonably well made for the cost, and while most of his stuff looks inaccurate from a historical perspective, it's at least innocuous. Actually, some of his 17th century stuff looks pretty good.
A major problem with most people doing historical shoes these days is the shapes of the lasts. They tend to use modern lasts, which becomes gradually more noticeable the earlier you go. I don't mean this as a criticism of anyone in particular, I'm just frustrated by the situation.
