I am making a greenland gown, and having neckline problems
I want a high neck, and a laced chest. So I have it slit from collar bone to mid bust.
I have extra fabric there so I'm a little confused on how to cut it past the slit. (which I already messed up and cut it off center and slightly askew an inch from the new slit - had to restitch it shut over some bias tape backing and will have to cover up with trim/edging bias of the same fabric)
since there is a least an inch of gathering should i cut it to be more of askinny U shaped cut, so the laceing will pull it together?
