This isn't authentic historical costuming. But anyone who wants to cash in on the "boho" fashion trend could probably do rather nicely for a year or so making bell-sleeved and/or ruffly blouses, gypsy skirts, and Victorian- and Edwardian-inspired coats and jackets. And other historic-inspired items according to their fancy. Probably ready-to-wear rather than custom.

I would never make custom costumes for anyone but myself and my husband. IMO, if you make custom clothing (as opposed to ready-made) your job is to make what the customer wants, if feasible within the constraints of their schedule and budget. I hate hiring someone to do something for me and then having them insist on doing it to their specs, not mine. On the other hand, I don't want to work to anyone's specs but my own.

End result--I wouldn't touch a custom costuming career with a ten-foot pole.
