Aha! I hadn't unsnarled all the replies on my earlier post, to see this was from you, Chris. I think you heard this from me, and were subjected to it, when I made you a costume a few years back. It was my grandmother's superstition. I don't know if it was a regional/cultural thing, or just familial.
