Hi all, sorry for the cross posts. Thought some of you might be
interested in this:
We will be presenting the "Suitable Gown for Her Majesty"
<http://www.saragrace.net/3E_10_QEW_Event_Pics.html> again at the
Phoenix Art Museum <http://www.phxart.org/events/lectures.asp> in
conjunction with the exhibit Lingerie: Secrets of Elegance
<http://www.phxart.org/exhibitions/current.asp> on Thursday, December
15th at 7:00 pm. So for those of you who missed it last year, here is
another chance! I will be presenting a short slide show of costumes
which includes a color slide of a rarely seen portrait by Frederigo
Zuccero. (This portrait appears in Max Von Boehn's _Modes and Manners_
and was formerly thought to be a picture of Mary Stuart.) It is
particularly interesting for it's huge mahoitered sleeves.
*_Thursday nights at the museum are free!_* So you can see the whole
museum and the presentation for the price of gas!
Hope to see you then,
Saragrace
