Hey Kate - It is indeed possible. Most of my research is in the pre-1600 time frame, so that is the only area on which I can comment. I only said I hadn't seen any, not that they didn't exist. :> I would be very interested to learn when they were common. And please - if you know of anything, or find anything do share.
