Dear Suzi,
you have I have exchanged occasional e-mails for a while, now; and I've
learned a lot from your helpful comments to other questioners on the Lists to
which we both subscribe.
I thought you'd like to see some of what our Companie has managed to achieve
since we had to reform hastily in early 2003, - after John Antill pulled-out in
a tantrum, and left just 8 of us, with only our medieval clothes, and a very
few weapons.
Have a look at our new website at
  www.dukesleopards.org
  and see what you think.

I thought you'd like to have a look at what we've been able to accomplish
since John Antill pulled-out taking all his equipment with him.
We now have over 40 Companions, 6 medieval tents, and have made ourselves a
lot of equipment.
Not bad for a group still lacking in sponsorship of any kind, most of whose
members are either retirees or "blue-collar" workers, and nearly all
"first-time re-enactors trying to climb a "steep learning-curve".
The Site is still under development, - and as this is my first attempt at
Site Design and layout - [the Programming was donated - a commercial CMS
similar to "Joomla"] - critical comment will be welcome. Please make allowances
for my lack of experience at this new Skillset, but everyone has to start
somewhere - and at least our Company now has a "webpresence".
I have included a "Links to Merchants" File, and taken the liberty of
including your URL, since your work is generally held in such very high regard
by the re-enactment community. I hope this does not offend you - I realise now
I ought to have asked your permission first.
If, on seeing the quality of what we display, as shown on our Website, you'd
not care to have your name listed in the website, please tell me, accept my
sincere apologies, and I'll remove your listing.

  Sincerely, Julian Wilson.

    Yours in Service,
