I've almost run out of Dharma Trading Company's "Men's and Women's Socks
- 3 pack." It turns out Dharma is now out of stock and will not be
getting any for the undefined future.
Dharma also has some organic socks that they admit dye with a
"heathered" effect, that is the elastic shows up as white bits. I've
dyed some socks like that and don't like the heathering much. Thing is,
I think 100% cotton socks are never really 100% cotton, they all have
elastic in them that does not take Procion dyes. The good thing about
the socks Dharma ran out of, is that the cotton covers the elastic so
well you hardly see it.
What I am getting at is, does anyone have another source for 100% cotton
women's socks (men's are too big for me) that they know from experience,
or a dyer's recommendation, do not have enough visible elastic to "heather"?
