I think this is the flatter and extending to the side style, so about the mid 
1700's?  
   
  I would have loved that this doll was earlier, but it does help establish 
that the doll styles stayed the same for quite some time, so that's good too.

  oh, yes, last week I got this package from Denmark and my roommate wants to 
open it to see what it is.  He especially wants the stamps from the package. :) 
 told him was a christmas present and he couldn't touch it yet.
