My secret Santa was Catherine Kinsey, who made the most wonderful needlebook out of handdyed linen, with a mermaid embroidered in silk floss. As if that wasn't enough, she enclosed a brass pin dating from the late 1600's.
Since I do a LOT of handsewing, I've already put both items to use, and am the envy of my sewing friends. Melusine ========================= Glad you liked it, the mermaid was fun to do :). I received a set of reproduction stitching tools from DH for Christmas. I finally decided I wanted all the little toys to play with in my stitching box :). Subscriptions to Piecework and Sample & Antigue Needlework were also renewed. And it looks like the cash from the in-laws may be going to that new Tudor Tailor book........
