Hi all

I am just now catching up on emails, and still have a lot to go through.

To Ruth Ann, you are most welcome. I hadn't made anything like that before, and I really enjoyed making your gift, that I am going to make one for me, too, ... someday.

I received the Secret Santa gift from Katheryne Grossberg that came in today. She sent me a beautiful silk knitted purse, 2oz of hand dyed romney wool from red onion skins, a box of miniature ornaments, and they all came wrapped in a bit of fabric that will go great with a costume idea I've been collecting fabric for that will get into three dimensional fabric imaging (flames, lots of flames.) Thank you so very much Katheryne! I really love the gifts you sent. I did a little happy dance that made my husband and friends look at me funny.

As for what else I got for Christmas that is costume related... not much. My husband got me garnet earrings and a garnet and opal bracelet from my favorite jewelry store (The Dragon's Treasure - www.dragont.com). They will go well with my faire costume, and for special nights out. Otherwise, I mostly got gift certificates and cash that I've spent buying costume and embroidery books. Even with a wish list on Amazon.com, people are scared I won't like what they chose for me.

These are the costume or faire related books I just ordered. They are all in transit, so I hope they will come in next week or sooner, like yesterday!

For us, the main gifts are for our kids, and they got plenty. My son so loves Thomas the Tank Engine and he got plenty on that. I also made his first Christmas stocking with a Santa Pooh Bear. I have to finish my husbands, and then come up with something for me and for our daughter.

Speaking of which, my little girl is up and needing my attention. Happy New Year everyone!!
