You are on the big place on the other side of the world, so I can't loan you
any of my patterns.
That leaves Big Pattern Co's. where I haven't yet seen anything that really
turns me on, or books, Some of the good ones have pattern drafts right in
them.
The easiest to deal with, and ones that you might actually be able to get to
are:
Arnolds books, Fitting and Proper and the Williamsburg Costume in detail. .
some of the others.
And there is always the rumor that I wait for, that the Simplicity line is
coming out with 18th c patterns in their Martha McCain costume historian line.
I think she's done quite well in the American Civil War (War between the
States, the late Unpleasentness)... Real nice looking, they look like REAL
THINGS and adaptable to period sewing techniques for those of us with less than
adequate pattern drafting skills. (No I find fitting a real, true problem!!! )
