Close... I have a few pairs of wide toed flat shoes with straps across the top. They make a great base to remake into shoes of this type. I'm going to be wearing a pair to an SCA event soon (I have hurt my feet very badly or it would be a better alternative.) Mind you, just last season here we had gollars for women in shops...... The same shape and fit of early 16thC gollars (shoulder capes.)
