Somewhere there's got to be a FAQ...
On 18cWoman (a Yahoo group) we've discussed boning materials a number
of times. "Plastic" covers a wide range of things, from the prom
gown featherboning to various weights of the German plastic which is
supposed to most closely resemble whalebone in function.
Some are easier to cut and shape than others, and it could depend on
the availability. I think it really helps to find a list where
someone has discussed all the types of boning available and their
qualities.
