He didn't remember the exact price with the exchange rate, thought it
might be around $35 US.

There were also a lot of full-page color photos of fabrics from the
period it was covering, which was late 16/early 17C, and into the 17th
C.  My interests are more 16th C but I was still thinking of getting
it.

Cool.  My kid is going to Germany this summer -- how much of the book
is
pre-1600 ... and how much does it cost?  I'm always interested in
books
wit cool pictures of embroidery and *stuff*!
