I've hand-spun a bit of the soybean fiber, a vegetarian friend bought it for me. It spins up QUITE similar to silk, though in fiber form it has a slightly odd texture - kind of reminds me of the "crunch" of rayon. I haven't made anything out of the yarn, though, so can't comment on final product.
