Hi Kate,
I am with you. I realized that while I like the look of Victorian jackets,
I don't want to wear one over a corset all the time (it's ok for an
all-Victorian event). So I am going to work on something inspired by them,
with the back peplums and all, and hopefully make something historically
inspired as well. I may even do something Renaissance inspired, but I'm not
sure yet what. I think I will also add in hand embroidery or trimmings as
well, to spice them up.
And if you figure out how to adapt the CWera gowns to everyday wear, please
let me know.
